In September 2012, producer, DJ and lecturer 9th Wonder announced that he was beginning a hip-hop fellowship at Harvard University. His experience contributing to the hip-hop archive at the Ivy League institution was documented by his friend and filmmaker Kenneth Price for “The Hip-Hop Fellow.”

“Just to say that I’m leaving one Duke class and say I’m getting on a plane to go to my Harvard class is unbelievable for me to say,” 9th says in the trailer. He taught class called “Sampling Soul” at Duke University. “But I don’t think I was all the way ready for the work that came with it.”
