Virginia Lawmakers will unveil their support for year-round schools. According to several school districts across the United States  and abroad year round schools work well.

Why: The legislators will discuss budget amendments to fund year-round schooling programs in the Commonwealth. Legislators worked together to introduce budget amendments to allow more schools to apply for grants to support year round schooling. Year-round schooling has been demonstrated to improve student performance, especially in schools with high percentages of at-risk students.
