Dr. Conrad Murray, the man most of the world has come to hate and know as the killer of Michael Jackson, has been released from prison early for good behavior. Good behavior? How does that happen? Dr. Murray served only two of his four-year sentence for giving the King Of Pop a lethal dose of the now-infamous drug, propofol.
Dr. Murray appeared on the “Today Show,” giving a detailed explanation of where he sees his life heading from here, “I will restart my life and, God willing, I will be a model to show the world that despite adversity, and when bad things happen to good people, they can restart their life and succeed,” Murray said. Murray’s attorneys are petitioning to get his medical license re-instated after it was suspended for this tragic incident.
Many people feel the 60-year-old physician murdered Michael Jackson, claiming this case should have been a medical malpractice case. During the sentencing phase of the trial, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor said, “Michael Jackson died not because of an isolated, one-off occurrence or incident. He died because of a totality of circumstances which are directly attributable to Dr. Murray.” Pastor then went on to call it a criminal homicide. Despite the Superior Court Judge’s opinion, Dr. Murray is a free man.
The Associated Press is reporting the coroner determined Jackson died of acute propofol intoxication but that he also had Valium, Ativan and Versed in his system–the lethal cocktail that claimed his life under Dr. Murray’s care. And now he is free. Meanwhile, Marissa Alexander–the woman who fired a warning shot that killed no one, is serving a 20 year sentence. Let that sink in.
