In the developments from overnight, it appears that the manhunt for ex-LAPD cop Christopher Jordan Dorner is over this morning. The nation awaits identification of the charred remains from the cabin. See the latest below and expect to hear additional details from the official briefing reportedly said to take place within the next few hours this morning.

UPDATE: 12:19 EST Contradicting the LAPD, Cynthia Bachman, spokeswoman for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, said that though the cabin is too hot to enter, making it impossible to identify and remove a body, they do believe that Christopher Dorner was inside as it burned down.

“We believe that he was still inside the cabin [as it burned down], yes,” Bachman said.

UPDATE: 11:11 EST LAPD Commander Andy Smith says that no body has been located inside of cabin — because it’s too hot to enter — and no body has been positively identified as Chris Dorner. Law enforcement is still on high tactical alert. Any other information will be coming from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

UPDATE: 9:57 EST There has been a body removed from the cabin. No confirmation that it is Chris Dorner, reports CB John Miller. But law enforcement has unofficially confirmed that it’s him.
