Willie Taylor, once a member of Diddy’s now defunct Making the Band collective Day 26, has returned to the forefront fo the R&B scene with a brand new project entitled “The Reintroduction of Willie Taylor.”
Less seductive yet equally as satisfying as his previous solo effort, the rather racy musical offering for the ladies called “Sextape” (released in 2010), “The Reintroduction” proves Willie Taylor has staying power even though his former Day 26 bandmates may no longer be onboard.
Featuring collaborations R&B starlet Dondria on “Not Mine” and Jeremih on “Instagram Ya Body,” this mixtape not only sets the tone for the future of pure R&B from Willie Taylor’s perspective, but also highlights what’s seemingly missing from the genre these days. Hosted by Big Tigger and DJ VDub, plus guest appearances from Chicago’s own R&B songstress Syleeena Johnson, “The Reintroduction of Willie Taylor” is definitely one you want to cop today.
