Game show host Alex Trebek suffered from a mild heart attack this weekend.
“Alex is up and about and in good spirits while doctors complete their testing at Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute,” expressed Paula Askanas, his publicist with Sony Pictures Television.
“He has been moved to a regular room today and looks forward to returning home as soon as his doctors give their approval,” she said. “Thank you for your kind wishes for Alex’s speedy recovery.”
Trebek, 71, was hospitalized Saturday and subjected to further testing Sunday. Trebek had his first heart attack back in 2007.
Doctors say the legendary host is expected to fully recover and be back on the “Jeopardy!” set when taping for the 29th season starts next month.
Trebek has hosted his quiz show since 1984. I wish him a speedy recovery!
