Hot 97’s Summer Jam is known as one of the biggest concerts of the year. Artists dream of performing on that stage, right? Not everyone. On Sunday night, Nicki Minaj was scheduled to headline the show at Met Life Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, but boss Lil’ Wayne decided to pull Nicki out of the lineup after Hot 97 Morning Show host Peter Rosenberg threw a diss to the Pink Friday MC.

“I know there’s some chicks here waiting to sing ‘Starships’ later, I’m not talking to y’all right now. F— that bullsh–. I’m here to talk about real hip-hop sh–,” Rosenburg said while playing to the crowd at the opening stage. This is where A$AP Rocky, Kendrick Lamar and Schoolboy Q performed hours before the main show started.

No word on whether this was really Wayne or Nicki’s actual decision, but either way the drama has begun. Weezy, who’s been tweeting more than usual lately, tweeted “Young Money ain’t doing summer jam.” “Wow. U n—az just f—ed up history. But the President has spoken. #YMCMB.”

DJ Funk Master Flex had some words for Nicki for backing out during the show. Let’s just say, he wasn’t the happiest camper.
