The Richmond Circuit Court will look into a complaint filed challenging the Virginia’s lethal injections. The court document names the Virginia Department of Corrections Director and other prison officials as defendants. The document alledges that correction officials are using the unlicensed practice of medicine, pharmacy and anesthesiology.
Spokesmen for the Department of Corrections and the state Attorney General’s Office decline to comment on the complaint at this time.
