With Rick Santorum out of the GOP race, Mitt Romney took the vote in District of Columbia, Maryland, and Wisconsin.  Even though Rick Santorum has removed himself from race, he still wants a republican to win the general election.

Santorum states, “I know there will always be complaints about, well, ‘I don’t like this candidate or that candidate, or they are not as good on these issues or not.  We have got to win in this general election … I pledge to you that even though I am no longer in this race that I will be all in between now and November.”

Not only is Rick Santorum behind Mitt Romney, but so is Charlie Black ( a top adviser to John McCain’s presidential bid).  In an interview done with CNN, Black states, “Conservatives will come around. The fact is, his positions are perfectly fine with the base. The organized conservative movement just needs to have some communication and encouragement to come on board.”

The GOP primaries move to Connecticut, Delaware,  New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island on April 24, 2012.

Will Mitt Romney continue to gain support from conservative Republican voters?

Stayed tuned for updates.
