A greeting card published long before the death of Whitney Houston is now in the process of being pulled from Target’s shelves after the singers untimely death.
The card pokes fun at Houston’s downward spiral reading, “Next time you think of dating the bad boy, consider Whitney Houston.” What was previously considered a good joke now seems insensitive and possibly offensive to some of Target’s customers.
A Target rep released this statement regarding the greeting card, “The card was in our stores prior to Ms. Houston’s death. As soon as this was brought to our attention, we began the process of removing the card from all applicable stores.”
