It is being reported that Bishop Eddie Long settled for a whooping $24.8 million and issued a private apology to his accusers.
According to reporter Robert “Rob” Redding Jr. of ReddingNewsReview.com a source says the church had been paying the young men $40,000 a year. The initial settlement was suppose to be for $2 million but since Bishop Long would admit he was guilty publicly it rose to $5.5 million for each accuser.
The source says the men will equally split $2.2 million and then receive $400,000 in payments until the money is paid out over the next 20 years. The grand total comes to $22 million for the four men and $2.8 million for the plaintiff’s attorneys.
