Michael Vick signed his one year franchise tender with the Philadelphia Eagles today (Mar. 2)!  Vick was one of three players to receive the “exclusive” franchise tag, which bars players from talking to other teams once free agency begins.

According to ESPN, franchise tags pay players the average of the top five players at that position. Vick made $5.25 million last season but would make an estimated $20 million — the average salary of the five highest-paid quarterbacks in the league — as the Eagles’ franchise player.

Congrats Vick!
