According to Game Informer, Sony is preparing games for the upcoming PlayStation 4. The console hasn’t even been announced yet. Even though Sony isn’t expecting a launch until sometime in 2012, the highly anticipated console is almost a sure thing seeing that they are already producing games. Since most games take about 16 months to develop, it’s necessary for developers to know the specs of the new console at least a few years before its launch.
Xbox 720 is also set to launch around the same time as the PlayStation 4. Rumor has it that both consoles will be similar to the Wii, demanding full participation during it’s game play.
Sony has yet to comment on anything about it’s new system, but you can be sure they will be very soon.
