For Jay Rock his run within Hip-Hop has been highly noticed and acknowledged, coming to a high point when he made the XXL Freshman Class of 2010, so the rapper decided to bring his team.
Known as the Black Hippy movement, the group is comprised of rappers Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul and Schoolboy Q, with each member having their own underground buzz as established lyricists that rarely miss a step.

All labelmates on Top Dawg Entertainment, their ability with the microphone has created the West Coast version of Slaughterhouse or even a 2010 version of N.W.A.
With no signs of a group project in the near future, the quartet looks to just impress the masses and show exactly what they are made of. For those that keep saying that the West Coast isn’t, y’all just aren’t looking in the right places.
