Bun B’s accolades in Hip-Hop and philanthropy are continuing especially in light of the recent tragedy in Haiti.

The UGK legacy is stepping up to headline a special benefit concert on Martin Luther King Day to raise funds for victims of the earthquake.

Bun will not venture alone however, he’s also by joined by other Houston artists including Candi Redd, Just Brittany, Corey Mo, The Party Boyz, ESG, Trae the Truth and Slim Thug.

Also making an appearance will be local athletes including Vince Young of the Tennessee Titans.

Speaking on the importance of giving back to the nation in peril Bun B released a statement saying,

“We all need to get involved…race, color or creed, we are all Haitians right now, and we need to help our brothers and sisters!”

The show will take place on Martin Luther King Day Monday, January 18 from 4 to 8 PM at Warehouse Live in Houston. The event has been organized with supporting partners Red Bull, Houston radio station KBXX The Box, http://www.care.org and the Houston Community Center.

Tickets go on sale today at $ 20 and can be purchased through http://www.warehouselive.com http://www.warehouselive.com; tickets will be $30 at the venue’s box office on Monday.

All proceeds will be donated to Haiti relief funds through http://www.care.org.

Donations drop off sites will also be set up at the venue.
