(HipHopWired.com) Former Bad Boy henchman Shyne is gearing up to release the first official single “Messiah” from his upcoming album next week.

According to reports, Shyne will drop the single next Tuesday (April 13th) and is collaborating with Scott Storch, who is rumored to be producing the majority of the album.

The album, which is the first on his new business venture through his independent label, Gangland Records and Island/Def Jam, will be the first from Shyne in almost 10 years.

In addition to production by Scott Storch, it is also said that Shyne is working with producer Coptic, who has confirmed that he created a track for Shyne titled “Hand on My 45.”

This news comes after it was initially reported in February that Shyne inked a seven-figure deal with Island/Def Jam and began recording his album in Belize, after being prohibited from entering the United States due to his criminal record.

Shyne, aka Moses Leviy, was released from prison in October of 2009, after serving over 9 years in prison for his role in a nightclub shootout in 1999. Puff

and Jennifer Lopez were also involved in the altercation as Shyne was left holding the bag after standing up for Diddy.
