arget is catching some major heat for a Father’s Day card for baby daddies. The major retail chain, is having to pull a Father’s Day card that reads, “Baby daddy” and features a black couple kissing on the front.

The card, that is now being pulled from over 900 Target stores,  received national attention after a Takeisha Saunders, a Dallas woman, posted a picture of the card on Facebook.

 

Target has issued an apology for the card.

‘We want all guests to feel welcomed and respected when they shop at Target,” Joshua Thomas, a spokesperson for Target, shared in a statement.

“We were made aware of some concerns about this card last week and are working with our vendor to have it removed from Target stores.“We appreciate the feedback and apologize. It’s never our intent to offend any of our guests with the products we sell.”
