Chanel Green prides herself on the establishment of her company Stitch, which was created to give every woman a voice without using words. The Richmond native began her fashion design business three years ago in order to illustrate to young women that anything is possible! Just in those three years, Chanel has showcased her collection in RVA Fashion Week, and over the last two years she was the highlighted designer on their flyers and bulletins.

She provides the fashion industry with a different perspective combined with a reinvented belief familiar to the the 70s– “I wear what I want”. Chanel’s positive spin on fashion gives the everyday woman a definite way to always feel and look beautiful. Her business customizes the selected styles to each client’s body, promoting confidence and empowering each one to conquer the world. In 2017, Chanel launched her clothing line website, which caters to women from sizes 0-12, and she also owns a t-shirt line with sizes XS-XL. In December 2017, Chanel hosted her first event The Stitch Dream Benefit, where she gave aspiring artists the opportunity to debut their work in Richmond, VA.

Even with her own businesses, Chanel finds time to serve and influence young women between the ages of 15 and 28 by exposing them to the world of fashion. From her civic engagement, she has learned how vital and beautiful it is to remain true to yourself and your destiny. Chanel builds on this foundation by encouraging the young women to be fearless in taking risk, living life freely, and never forgetting that anything is possible. As a leader and mentor, she also focuses on responsibility. Like any strong leader, Chanel holds herself to the same standards and positively incorporates her business and fashion expertise into her daily life.

Chanel’s purpose in fashion spans beyond the 804, as she has showcased in fashion shows in Washington, DC, Hampton, VA and Virginia Beach, VA. Chanel has partnered with upcoming makeup artists, photographers and models in photoshoots as they work together to build each others’ brands. She also participated in New York Fashion for Fall 2017, and most recently, she was invited to attend shows and events during London Fashion Week.

As one can see, Chanel Green achieves every goal she sets, and her highest goal is to become one of the top designers in the fashion industry while striving to be all that she can possibly be!
