Coca-Cola is dropping a new line of drinks, but with an alcoholic twist.  The beverage, that will  be released in Japan, is a version of “ Chu-Hi” which is a sparking, flavored beverage that includes spirits called “sho-chu”.

“This is unique in our history. Coca-Cola has always focused entirely on non-alcoholic beverages, and this is a modest experiment for a specific slice of our market,” said Jorge Garduno, president of Coca-Cola’s Japan business unit.

As of now, it is being reported that the new beverage will not be sold in the United States.

We’ll see how long that’ll last.
