One man was arrested after police seized over 70,000 pills and more than 20 pounds of marijuana inside an Arlington apartment complex.
According to a search warrant affidavit, Arlington Police responded to a drug-related call at a complex on the 1700 block of Saddle Creek Circle on Tuesday.
A maintenance worker had discovered a “large amount of green leafy substance,” later determined to be marijuana, during an inspection related to storm damage, according to a search warrant affidavit.
The worker took a photo of the marijuana and sent it to the apartment manager, the affidavit reads.
An Arlington officer also smelled marijuana coming from a single unit of the three-story apartment complex when attempting to make contact with the tenant.
When a search warrant was granted, officers found 22 pounds of marijuana and at least 72,000 pills believed to be Xanax in an apartment belonging to 24-year-old Duc Chi Ta.
Arlington police said it was the largest known pill bust in department history.
