Clinical Director for Heart to Heart Mental Health Services

Tyrell Clayton hails from Petersburg, VA. Although his family was big on education, Tyrell wasn’t a high school student with dreams and aspirations of going to college. His parents knew of their son’s potential and made every effort to make sure that his environment didn’t impede his journey to success.

He attended North Carolina A&T State University; obtaining a degree in psychology and a Master’s in social work. With Tyrell’s strong family connectedness, he acquired a big heart for people and his community.

He quickly learned that it was his calling to educate and service his community for the purposes of mental health wellness.

Today, Tyrell holds the position as Prevention Specialist for one the highest performing counties in VA, while standing in as Clinical Director for his private organization, Heart to Heart Mental Health Services.

Tyrell is also Vice President of a non-profit organization, Pretty Purposed. Pretty Purposed is a faith-based organization, empowering young ladies through mentoring and activities to promote healthy physical, social, and emotional development.
