Candice Smith started working at NBC 12 in 2013 as a “News Content Specialist.” While working another part-time retail job and attending VCU as a full-time student, Candice pushed herself to pursue her dreams of working in the broadcast field.
In 2014 she graduated and started gaining minor roles on TV working as a Traffic Reporter. One year later she became the full-time 12 About Town (entertainment/feature reporter) and Social Media Reporter.
Currently, Candice is a permanent member of 12 News Today morning show. NBC 12 created the “NBC12 Takeover” where Candice travels to different high schools to host live pep rallies and highlight staff and students around Central Virginia.
