E! News is reporting that Mariah had no idea that Packer dumped her, it was out of nowhere Carey found out the engagement was over when she saw it in the press, according to one insider.
“The split has been devastating for Mariah,” a source tells E! News. “She loved James and was planning to marry him…She made life changes for this man to prepare for their future as husband and wife, even relocating to L.A., at James’ request, so he could be closer to his children. Everything she has done over the past year is to prove how fully committed she is to their life together. She really wanted this to work. And then, completely out of the blue, it imploded.”
Now Mariah is demanding Packer pay her 50 million, according to TMZ. Mariah claims she needs the money for the reasons listed below:
Mariah had to move from New York to L.A., uprooting her entire life, so he could be near his kids.
— Packer did something awful to her assistant in Greece that has traumatized Mariah so much she had to cancel the South American leg of her tour.
