Five Police Officers Killed During Anti-Police Brutality March In Dallas

“We’re hurting. Our profession is hurting. Dallas officers are hurting. We are heartbroken, said Dallas Police Chief David Brown during a press conference. “There are no words to describe the atrocity that occurred to our city.”

Seven officers were injured in the shooting and five were killed in the Dallas attack. Three suspects were arrested, but one held off police in a stand off for several hours on Friday. Negotiations broke down. Police used a bomb robot to place a device where the suspect was held up. The suspect died from the bomb detonations not by suicide as has been reported incorrectly in the media, Brown said.

Before the suspect was killed, he told the hostage negotiator that he was upset about Black Lives Matter. He was upset about the recent police shootings. He was upset at white people. He wanted to kill white people especially white officers. He wasn’t affiliated with any groups and did “this” alone.

“All I know this must stop. This divisiveness between our citizens and our police officers,” Brown said. “We don’t feel much support most days. Let’s not make today most days,” Brown said. “Please we need your support to be able to protect to you from men like these who carried out this tragic, tragic event. “Joins us in helping comfort the grieving officers families.”
