The Center for Disease Control and Prevention has dropped a bombshell on the gay men population in a current report which states that half of gay or bisexual black men and a quarter of gay Latino men will be diagnosed with HIV in their lifetime.
“The prevention and care strategies we have at our disposal today provide a promising outlook for future reductions of HIV infections and disparities in the U.S., but hundreds of thousands of people will be diagnosed in their lifetime if we don’t scale up efforts now.”

HIV turns 30 today! Since the beginning of the epidemic, nearly 30 million people worldwide have died from HIV/AIDS. This is a tribute to a few familiar faces of folks we loved and continue to miss who lost their life to AIDS. February 7, is National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness day.
