How many records must Steph Curry break to get his jersey retired at his alma mater? It doesn’t matter because of a technicality.

Davidson only retires the jerseys of players who’ve graduated. Curry never graduated and instead declared himself eligible for the draft after his junior year. Wasn’t that bad of a call.

Curry said that he promised his college coach Bob McKillop that he was eventually going to return to get his degree. But since he’s the best player in the NBA and leads an undefeated team, it’s going to have to wait.

“It’s still a priority for sure; obviously there’s a lot going on right now,” Curry said, according to ESPN. “Taking advantage of my career right now on the court in the NBA, it’s only a very short window, so you want to give all the attention and effort. But to be able to finish out that part of my life, whenever it does happen, will be huge.”
