In case you haven’t listened to some Zion and Lennox, we highly suggest checking out their latest single “Pierdo La Cabeza” (Losing My Mind), and then take it from there.
They are a Latin urban duo composed by Felix Ortiz (Zion) and Gabriel Pizarro (Lennox) who formed in the streets of Carolina, Puerto Rico in early 2000. For the past 15 years, these talented boys have captivated many fans around the world, including the U.S. and Latin America, with their romantic, reggaeton melodies.
The boys, however, parted ways in mid-2000 searching for solo projects. Following their individual successful trajectories, Zion and Lennox have reunited and affirm they are stronger than ever.
Their newest jam “Pierdo La Cabeza” can serve as a perfect example.
“A lot of people consider it [the single] a comeback,” Zion told The Urban Daily. “We’ve released other songs after we returned as a duo but they didn’t have that boom like this one.”
“That’s why many people consider it a comeback of Zion and Lennox, especially in the U.S.,” he added, stating that their fans in Latin American are very faithful to their trajectory.
Zion, whose solo productions include collaborations with Akon and Play-N-Skillz, noted that “Pierdo La Cabeza” has already topped many music charts and that people and radio charts are loving the jam.
“It’s the combination of our voices,” he said of what makes this duo stand out in the reggaeton genre. Lennox agreed. “It’s our romantic flow without being too cheesy. That’s our mark,” he said.
Aside from their hit single, Lennox told The Urban Daily that 2015 holds a special place for the release of their new album. “Motivan2 will be out this summer,” he said. “We’re going to stick around for a long time.”
