Police warn of stranger danger involving 2 people in cowboys hats

Farmington Hills Police say on April 11 around 7:30 p.m., two young children, ages 3 and 4, reported to their mother that two strangers made physical contact with them in the rear yard of their home, located in the Nine Mile and Halsted area of Farmington Hills.

The children were unharmed.

Police investigate sexual assault at Monroe thrift shop

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a sexual assault that allegedly took place at a thrift shop this week.

Authorities say a 10-year-old girl was using the restroom at the Salvation Army in Frenchtown Township when a stranger came into the room. Authorities say he molested the girl and exposed himself before running off  … click here for more details. 

Funeral Monday for Detroit children found in freezer

Monday, the two Detroit children whose bodies were found in a freezer, will be laid to rest.

Services for 13 year old Stoni Blair and 8 year old Stephen Berry will take place at the Greater Grace Temple in Detroit.

Vigil held for 8-year-old girl who died after being struck by a car a week ago

Life will never be the same for the Williams family. Dozens of family, friends and supporters gathered Saturday at the intersection where 8-year-old De’sia Taylor was hit and killed.

Taylor, a student of Laurus Academy is Southfield was hit and killed Saturday near the intersection of Puritan and Fairfield on Detroit’s west side.

Witnesses say Taylor was running after her grandfather who had already crossed the street when she was fatally struck by a 2006 Dodge Charger driven by a 20-year-old female. The driver of that vehicle did stop and cooperated with police. According to police the traffic light was green and the driver of the vehicle had the right-of-way.

When the incident occurred, Fantasha had just gone to work. Her husband, De’sia’s father had dropped her off at her grandparents who babysit her all the time. But on Saturday around five o’clock her grandfather was walking to the store when he crossed Puritan not knowing De’sia was trying to follow him.
