Congrats are in order for Viola Davis. The star of Shonda Rhimes’ new show “How To Get Away With Murder” now has a Dr. in front of her name!

According to reports, Viola received an honorary Doctor of Fine Arts from her alma mater — The Julliard School. She was among eight remarkable artists and philanthropists to be hooded and handed degrees at the prestigious school’s 109th Commencement Ceremony on Friday in New York City.

The 48-year-old actress received Academy Award nominations in 2011 of The Help and 2008 for Doubt. She also won Tony Awards for her portrayal of Tonya in 2001’s King Hedley II and her role as Rose Maxson in the Broadway revival Fences.

Cicely Tyson will receive the same honor from The American Film Institute on June 11. According The Hollywood Reporter, the 80-year-old Oscar and Golden Globe nominee will be recognized for her “contributions of distinction to the art of the moving image.”

In related higher education news, mega producer Swizz Beatz enrolled in Harvard Business School’s three-year Owner/President Management Program. The curriculum is designed to sharpen the skills of chief executive officers, chief operating officers, presidents, and managing directors of companies with annual sales of at least $10 million.
