One of the hottest male comedians in the game, Bill Bellamy called into the TT Torrez Show to g-chat about his new comedy show that airs on Centric, running out of jokes, upcoming movie Bounce Back, and comedians who he looks up to.

About the show

“It’s a comedy special showcasing our best comics in the country. We added an icon element to it, where last year our icon award went to George Wallace..This is my second year, I’m the executive producer of this project. I’m really trying to blow it up and let everybody know that we got a place to watch fun crazy comedy every year on BET and Centric.”

Are you getting back on the road anytime soon?

“Yeah I’m traveling all over the place. This weekend I’m actually performing in New haven, Connecticut. Next weekend I will be performing at the New Jersey Pack in Newark my hometown. Then i close out the month I’m going to Houston, Texas and Jackson, Mississippi. I’m going to the dirty south!”

Do you ever run out of jokes to tell?

“No because people make material for you everyday. When your reading a newspaper, when you seeing life happen, and when life happens to you to; those things can be very very funny. Some of the most awkward and most unfortunate situations can be the funniest thing.”

Do you ever watch vines?

“Man people be funny in 15 secs now. I’m like dang it take me 3mins and they doing it in 15 secs…The beauty of this generation is the internet is like the new tv. People are watching the vines and are looking at YouTube because it just not on television so my hat goes off to all the young hustlers out there that’s trying to get it in and get on.”

Outside of the Comedy show your hosting are you doing anymore films?

“Yeah I’m getting ready to do a film in May called Bounce Back. Its about a relationships. This guy who wrote this book after a really bad marriage on how to bounce back after a rough relationship. The thing about it is, he hasn’t really bounce back but his book has but he is still really going through it.”

Who are some comedians you look up to and vibe to?

“Well you know everyone that came up with me. Mike Epps is my homie. He is so funny and he’s out here killing it. Katt Williams is back. Katt is getting it again….Mike Epps is funny as hell. You guys are lucky to have these talented people performing at this level right now because everyone is peaking and having a good time. I think we should do a huge show like in an area with me, Katt, Chris Tucker, Mike Epps, and Dave Chappelle. Can you imagine how funny that would be.”
