Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon have teamed up for another hilarious skit, this time about our creepy overuse of #hashtags.
In the two-minute clip from Tuesday’s episode of “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” the comedy skit best friends recreated a normal conversation with hashtags in every statement, including #wecantstop, #wegohard, #lifedecisons and #isitfridayyet.

“Hey Justin, what’s up?” Jimmy asked Justin.
“Hey Jimmy, not much. #chilling,” the singer responded.

With #hashtags here, #hashtags there and #hashtags everywhere, the skit proves that the pound sign has not only taken over the socialverse, but our day-to-day lingo.
The founder of the hashtag Chris Messina responded to the Jimmy and Justin’s comedic video by asking, “What have I done?”
“More and more I’m getting friends telling me how their kids are hashtagging everything that they say,” Messina said in an interview with MTV. “The sort of prideful fear that I have is that what [Fallon] depicted is actually how teenagers are talking now…. That’s not something I had really anticipated and now that I’m here I’m kind of like, ‘Oh my God… what have I done?”
