Willow Smith has come a long way since her days of singing “I whip my hair back and forth.”
The mature 12-year-old teamed up with Queen Latifah for the premiere episode of “The Queen Latifah Show” today, and she belted out her latest single, “Summer Fling,” for the live in-studio audience.
Before the sometimes-too-grown Willow started her performance, she clarified that ”fling” simply means “something that’s short lived.”
“This song is dedicated to all the kids around the world whose summer is never long enough,” she said in a British accent.
The Willow-Latifah duo may come as a surprise for some but we saw this free promo move coming. The young singer’s parents, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, are executive producers for the new daytime talk show, and just to add icing on the cake, Will is schedule to appear on tomorrow’s episode.
