About Jade Alston:
Hailing from Philly, Jade is a young woman on a mission to make great music and to inspire others along the way. Jade got her start in show business at the age of 15 as a video jock (known by the moniker Jasmine Jai), for Philadelphia’s longest running video show, Urban X-Pressions. At 18, Jade was selected a background singer/hype girl for recording artist, Kelis. Once that gig was over, Jade went on to tour the country as a solo opening act for artists like 50 Cent, Ameriie, Fat Joe & others.
Fast forward about 4 years, after spending time in college and as a business woman, Jade made up her mind that music was her heart’s true passion. Jade began working as a songwriter which later earned her the opportunity to work under Grammy recognized hit-makers Claude Kelly, Chuck Harmony & Jon Jon Traxx. Jade was able to hone her skills and perfect her vocal and songwriting abilities.
From there Jade released of her first EP, “Single On A Saturday Night” which was reviewed in the New York Times as “…romantic but self-reliant, self-empowered, girl’s-girl trustworthy…”
