AllHipHop.com is reporting that VH1‘s “The Gossip Game” will not be back for a second season. Many are scratching their heads and trying to understand what happened and if it was ever given the proper chance to excel.

It had a tough time slot to overcome as 11 PM ET is usually when people are turning off all things reality TV. So maybe the move to 11 was not helpful, but it also came on after “Love & Hip Hop” and “The Family Hustle.” It could have been that after watching people argue and fight and then transitioning to people who are loving, nurturing and kind to one another the audience just couldn’t flip back to the negativity. Maybe it would have been better for VH1 to try putting them in the lineup for a different day.

The show started off showing intelligent career women and how they pay dues in New York City in order to make their various careers work for them. While some of them never needed the show to begin with, others were able to ride it into a better situation for themselves. Those who never needed it will be fine and for those who did we are eager to see what they will be doing next!

At any rate we wish all of them well on their future endeavors!
