A few weeks ago, after Beyonce released ‘Bow Down’ Keyshia took to her Twitter page to express her distate of the song.

“Can’t stand when people all self righteous when it’s convenient it makes them look good. Lmao! But can still talk sh-t when convenient 2 [f-ck outta here] First “Women need to Stick together” now b-tches better Bow. Smh”

Her response ruffled up more than a few feathers, including The Dream’s, who is currently working with Beyonce. He recently revealed in an interview with The Breakfast Club Morning Show that even though he has worked with Keyshia in the past, out of respect for his relationship with Bey, he has decided that he will not work with her right now. He said:

I’ve already done records with Keyshia but right now, because of what happened, I can’t. And I think she would respect why I can’t. I’d have a grown up conversation [with her] like, “Yo you’re talking about my family, like you can’t do that.”

I think Beyonce said what she wanted to say [with the record] […] She got something off her chest.

Dream also elaborated further in an interview with Marc Lamont Hill of HuffPostLive:

I always find this thing…especially musicians to musicians…we know our struggles already and we literally just keep throwing darts at each other. I don’t really understand it but she’s entitled to her opinion. Whatever it is that she feels. I have nothing but love for Keyshia. I worked on her last album and we went on a tour maybe two or three years ago, but of course I can’t support it. Of course I would work with her if it came up but I can’t work with her under what’s going on. That’s like with any family member. If me and you become cool at some point and we’re doing what we’re doing and we’re out hanging and I’m playing with your kids and you’re playing with my kids and you’re looking across the room and somebody said something crazy to you [then] I feel it’s my obligation as a friend to sit here beside you. Not if somebody flashes some money at me and I go run over to their side. No. That’s wrong. You clear that up and we’re good again.[…]I just can’t if it is what they’re saying that it is. If it’s a personal type of attack then no. I would hope that [Beyonce] would do the same for me also. I’m just not built that way.

Yesterday, Keyshia responded to The Dream via her twitter page:

“Dream not writing any songs for me is fine… Im on my 6th album… He’s only wrote 1 song on 1 of my albums, which i did love, God Bless”
