I love stories like this. 18-year-old Alexis Harris’ dream come true after she was picked to be the new face of CoverGirl for having “beauty inside and out.” Ellen Degeneres launched a CoverGirl contest to find a new face for their new campaign. In Alexis’ video, she talked about being a Texas University student as well as what it was like being raised by a single military mom and not really knowing her father. She is also the founder of the SMILE project which stands for Students Making Impacts in Lives Everywhere where they give food, clothing, and winter coats to the homeless and those in need.
