Despite her statements to the contrary, Rihanna is still getting shine in part to the Chris Brown incident that happened three years ago. Rih Rih is the new cover star of Rolling Stone Magazine and she talks about the progression of her relationship with Chris Brown yet again.

In the upcoming issue of the magazine, the pop diva got candid about finding it in her heart to forgive Breezy for his actions and how the opinions of others about her decision don’t matter to her. Rihanna said, “I decided it was more important for me to be happy. I wasn’t going to let anybody’s opinion get in the way of that. Even if it’s a mistake, it’s my mistake. After being tormented for so many years, being angry and dark, I’d rather just live my truth and take the backlash. I can handle it.”

The 24 year-old bombshell went on to say that their relationship isn’t as rocky as it once was because they’ve both matured and are able to communicate better. “You see us walking somewhere, driving somewhere, in the studio, in the club, and you think you know. But it’s different now,” Rihanna offered. “We don’t have those types of arguments anymore. We talk about sh*t. We value each other. We know exactly what we have now, and we don’t want to lose that.”

While the “Diamonds” singer has forgiven Chris Brown, she isn’t going to allow him to be violent towards her again. Rihanna says that Breezy doesn’t have the luxury of acting a fool with her again. While she can’t say whether the relationship will always be riding on a high note, she does believe he despises the thought of losing her again and she is riding with him now because she can’t see him messing up in the future.

You can check out the full interview in the pages of Rolling Stone when the issue is delivered to newsstands at the end of the week.
