Since 1999 husband and wife musical duo Georgia Anne Muldrow and Dudley Perkins (aka Declaime) have pushed the boundaries of awareness in music, especially hip-hop. Whether it is through collaborations with artists like Erykah Badu and Mos Def or their own mind-bending works like SomeOthaShip, the two are modern day keepers of the funk.

In 2012 they have released a joint project with producer Madlib called Seeds, which speaks to the need for folks to cultivate nourishment of both a physical and artistic nature. In this sitdown with TheUrbanDaily they break down their “Mothership connection”, the evils of  food cartels and what is missing from today’s rhythm and blues.

The husband and wife musical team also expounded on the song  “Husfriend” and what it means to be a couple with a common creative agenda.
