106 & Park host Rocsi Diaz has fell victim to a Twitter hoax gone wrong.
Someone created a photoshopped Yahoo! News article about Rocsi shoplifting from Wet Seal reporting she shoved four pairs of heels into her Aeropostale bag and put on seven sets of panties under her denim romper. Here’s the big red flag that the story was fake: The assistant manager, Brooke Valentine, noticed Rocsi did not put the clothing back after leaving the dressing room.
So once Rocsi got wind of how this rumor came about she has decided to take legal action. She tells Global Grind, “It is unfortunate that all the attention on me is negative because of a joke that went too far. I find no humor in calling me a thief and what people fail to realize is that when wanting to do business with major companies things like this hurt my image which I try to be a good example to young people. I’m no thief. The writer of this malicious story and anyone who writes false stories about anyone should be held accountable for their slanderous lies.”
