Wow! Talk about an equal punishment for the crime! Francis Phillip Tullier, a convicted child molester in Louisiana, had his testicles surgically removed so that he could be released from prison on parole. Tullier admitted abusing three girls, ages 6 to 12, during the 1970s and 80s.  As part of the plea deal, he agreed to have his testicles castrated. If he didn’t have the procedure done, Tullier wasn’t expected to be released until 2024.

Tullier plead guilty in 1999 to 3 counts of molestation and  faced hundreds of molestation counts involving young girls.  The now 78-year-old Tullier was sentenced to 27 years in prison.

According to The Associated Press, Tullier’s lawyer Nathan Fisher, said that under the agreement Tullier could only be eligible for parole once he underwent castration.

Tullier agreed to have the surgery at his own expense according to officials  and it  was done this week  after years of delays while Tullier was treated for various medical issues.

The Advocate newspaper reports that Tullier is due for release next week.  He will live in Iberville Parish and has to register as a sex offender.
