Nicki Minaj and Ciara are teaming up for a charitable cause, raising money for a local New Jersey chapter of the Urban league.
The Young Money rapper and the R&B singer will take the stage October 28th for the Urban Vibe 2010 Benefit Concert sponsored by the Urban League of Hudson County.
Hosted by 107.5FM WBLS’s Caribbean Fever personality Dahved Levy, and Terrence and Rocsi of BET’s popular 106 & Park , Urban Vibe 2010 also includes Soca stars Farmer Nappy and Patrice Roberts.
The aim of the popular event is to raise funds for the organization’s mission of empowering residents and improving the quality of life in New Jersey’s urban communities.
In addition to Ciara and Nicki, reggae star Shaggy will perform at the concert taking place at Newark’s Prudential Center.
Speaking on the cause President and CEO of the Urban League of Hudson County, Elnora Watson, released a statement saying,
“Our mission is to empower, promote self-sufficiency, and advance the cause of opportunity for our diverse constituency. Through collaboration, outreach, information and technology, the ULOHC has developed services that help level the economic playing field.”
