Rihanna, who’s fresh off the success of her fourth album Rated R, is finishing up her fifth release, with plans in place to debut its first single next week.

Ryan Seacrest will premiere “Only Girl (In the World)” on Tuesday, Sept. 7, at 3 a.m. PST/6 a.m. EST.

The dance track sees the Bajan singer linking back up with Norwegian production team Stargate, who produced Rated R’s No. 1 hit “Rude Boy,” as well as “Hate That I Love You” and “Don’t Stop the Music.”

Her as-yet-untitled album, due in November, is expected to be more upbeat than its darker predecessor. “It’s about getting past any drama and just being happy to be alive,” producer Sean Garrett told Rap-Up.com of the record he submitted. “It’s an encouraging record. It feels great and it’s got great tempo.”’

Floyd Mayweather logged on to Ustream the other day and launched into a tirade against Manny Pacquiao.

Mayweather resorted to taunting the Filipino boxer with Asian stereotypes during the rant:

“I’ma make that motherf***er make a sushi roll and cook me some rice — a shrimp tempura roll. I’ma take that motherf***er to the Tempi Yaki room and cut his a** up with some rice. You know how it is baby! We gonna cook that motherf***er with some cats and dogs!”

We don’t know about the rest of you, but we miss the days when celebrities only spoke through publicists and carefully scripted interviews and didn’t display their ignorance uncensored for all the world to see.

The rapper and his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle were arrested on Wednesday (September 1) night after cops pulled them over for making an illegal u-turn.
“Deputies smelled a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle,” said a Los Angeles sheriff’s department spokesperson. “A narcotics investigation ensued” and revealed a “small amount” of ecstasy.

The newlyweds were released from jail at about 4 a.m. Thursday after posting $10,000 bail each. But the southern rapper could be facing more trouble after he returns to Atlanta.

According to one of his attorneys, he will be back home within the next day or two and will more than likely have to report to court behind the arrest, which violates the terms of his probation that say he cannot possess any narcotic or controlled substance, frequent places where drugs are “illegally sold, used, distributed, or administered” or associate with anyone engaging in illegal activity.

“T.I. is going to be back on his way to Atlanta in the next 24 hours,” said Don Samuel to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“It’s almost certain he’ll end up appearing before the court here. But without knowing all the facts, it’s premature to speculate what the court is likely to do.”
Ed Garland, another lawyer from T.I’s legal team, said that Tip followed guidelines and quickly notified the U.S. Probation Office of his arrest and will report to his probation officer once he returns home.

The Grand Hustle rapper served seven months in prison after reaching a plea deal behind felony drug charges. As a part of his sentence he was also given three years of probation and ordered to perform 1,000 hours of community service.

The chain-smoking Indonesian toddler who gained instant worldwide fame via a viral video of him puffing away has gone into rehab – and given up cigarettes.
But now, reports CBS News Correspondent Betty Nguyen, Aldi Suganda, 2, is heading home, and there’s concern he may give in to temptation and resume smoking once he gets there.

The video of Aldi smoking sparked outrage. He was smoking up to 40 cigarettes a day.

And in July, a CBS News team traveled to the remote fishing village of Musi Banyuasin, on the Indonesian island of Sumatra in search of Aldi.

General rule of thumb: when looking to buy marijuana, don’t text the sheriff. Authorities said a Helena teen sent out a text message last week in search of pot, but instead of contacting the drug dealer, he hit a wrong number and inadvertently sent the message to Lewis and Clark County Sheriff Leo Dutton.

The text read, “Hey Dawg, do you have a $20 I can buy right now?”

Dutton told the Helena Independent Record he initially thought it was a joke, but he quickly realized it was a real request for drugs. He responded to the text, and a detective pretending to be the dealer organized a meeting with the boy last Wednesday.

The detective spotted two teenage boys and a man at the arranged meeting spot and called the number three times to make sure he had the right person. Dutton said when the detective showed the teens his badge, their faces turned white and their knees began to wobble. One of the boys even fainted.
