Akon, who is making a reported $40,000 per month has been ordered to pay child support in the amount of $5,000 each month to support his two minor sons born out of wedlock in 2008 and 2009.

TMZ has reported that Akon filed a Petition for Legitimization in GA Superior Court. The singer claims he’s the father of two minor sons and has asked that the court; grant him joint legal custody, allow him to be involved in all major decisions, ensure the boys keep his last name of Thiam, and most importantly establish child support.

Dig this, Akon willingly disclosed the high amount of money he’s making for it to be used as a factor in how much child support he should be paying each month to the two boy’s mother.

But there’s more, he also has requested that the kids be eligible to inherit from him just as if they would be able to if they were born in wedlock.

According to the docs, the judge also took into consideration that Akon makes SIX other child support payments each month. Wow! That’s a whole lot of convict music he’s going to need to keep making! But we salute Akon for doing the right thing! Plenty of guys would not have stepped up to the plate like this! Good for him and more importantly, good for his little ones!

The frothing excitement around this prototype, titanium-framed wearable computer has the tech world tripping over itself in a mad dash for Glass access. Ten thousand or more Google Glass units are now shipping to beta testers and winners of the If I Had Glass contest — for a $1,500 price tag. But the big what, why, and how questions remain.

The answer, for now, is simple: Google Glass is Google on your face. These early frames ship with the ability to take the very most recent communications from your smartphone or Google accounts and show them to you in a head-up display. They take phone calls. They send texts, take photos and video, and show maps. They deliver search results. If you’ve played with Google Now, the Glass interface is strikingly similar.

But the sky is the limit for Google and its army of developers. Right now, the experiences we have with these early devices are very personal ones shaped largely by the reaction of our community and daily needs. CNET got lucky enough to claim two Glass units — one on each coast– so we’re going to write about this very different device in a different way.

CNET Senior Editor Scott Stein will kick off this hands-on review of Glass first, giving his initial impressions from his New York/New Jersey life. CNET Reviews Editor in Chief Lindsey Turrentine will chime in next with her own perspective from the opposite coast (and the opposite gender). We’ll walk you through Google Glass’ realities and possibilities. Keep an eye on this review. It’s going to get epic.

Is this a real product, anyway?

Google Glass Explorer Edition is intended for developers and “early testers,” and while this group of customers may include those who feel like they can afford a $1,500 wearable device, everyday people aren’t the primary target yet. But yes, Google Glass is a very real product, and it really works, but its app support remains pretty limited. It looks like Google Glass — the consumer version — will arrive sometime in 2014. In the meantime, app developers and Google will be using this model to develop software and experiences that will be incorporated into the consumer version.

What does Google Glass actually do?

Glass takes photos and videos, sends text messages, engages in FaceTime-like Google Hangouts, makes phone calls, searches Google, and gets turn-by-turn navigation with maps. It can show the weather, the time, and headlines from The New York Times that have been pushed to the device, with spoken headline summaries. For now, anyway, that’s about it. Some features require tethering — GPS-based functions that use the phone, such as turn-by-turn directions. Others, like Google Hangouts and Google Search, can also be performed over Wi-Fi. When offline, Glass only takes photos and videos.

The hardware: Design and features

This product is often incorrectly referred to as “Google Glasses” with good reason. But it’s really more of a lensless eyeglasses frame, with a mobile computing device built into the stem that sits on your right ear. That right arm wraps around to a small transparent display that sits above your right eye. Imagine if a wearable side-mounted camera grew a glasses-frame construct, and that’s Glass.

Glass is lightweight, more so than you’d think. The titanium frame is bendable. Little nose contacts can be bent and adjusted for individual fit. The right side of Glass has a thick back part that houses the battery, and all the rest of the electronics: buttons, touch pads, and speaker.

The Glass Explorer package comes with the Glass unit itself (in a variety of colors), a snap-on sunglasses visor, a clear visor, and a Micro-USB charger. There’s a rigid cloth pouch to store Glass in, but the frame can’t be folded up like regular sunglasses — at least, in its current iteration. It’s more like a visor, so you’d need some sort of larger bag.

Glass runs on Android, but can connect to both iOS and Android devices. It can connect via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to a phone, a laptop, or a home Wi-Fi network, or even work alone as a disconnected offline camera. The 5-megapixel camera shoots 720p video, 10 seconds at a time by default. It has 12.5GB of onboard storage and a battery that’s meant to last a day.

SEOUL, South Korea — North Korea fired three short-range guided missiles into its eastern waters on Saturday, a South Korean official said. It routinely tests such missiles, but the latest launches came during a period of tentative diplomacy aimed at easing tensions.

The North fired two missiles Saturday morning and another in the afternoon, South Korean Defense Ministry spokesman Kim Min-seok said by phone. He said the North’s intent was unclear. His ministry said it is watching North Korea carefully in case it conducts a provocation against South Korea.

In March, North Korea launched what appeared to be two KN-02 missiles off its east coast. Experts believe the country is trying to improve the range and accuracy of its arsenal.

North Korea recently withdrew two mid-range “Musudan” missiles believed to be capable of reaching Guam after moving them to its east coast earlier this year, U.S. officials said. The North is banned from testing ballistic missiles under U.N. Security Council resolutions.

Earlier this year, North Korea threatened nuclear strikes on Seoul and Washington because of annual U.S.-South Korean military drills and U.N. sanctions imposed over its third nuclear test in February. The drills ended late last month. This past month, the U.S. and South Korea ended another round of naval drills involving a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier off the east coast. North Korea calls such drills preparation to invade the North.

Analysts say the recent North Korean threats were partly an attempt to push Washington to agree to disarmament-for-aid talks.

This past week, Glyn Davies, the top U.S. envoy on North Korea, ended trips to South Korea, China and Japan. On Friday, an adviser to Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe returned from North Korea but didn’t immediately give details of his talks with officials there.

On Monday, North Korean state media showed that the country’s hard-line defense minister had been replaced by a little-known army general. Outside analysts said it was part of leader Kim Jong Un’s efforts to tighten his grip on the powerful military after his father Kim Jong Il died in December 2011.

The United States and Japan are participants in six-nation nuclear disarmament talks along with the Koreas, Russia and China. North Korea walked out of the talks in 2009 after the United Nations condemned it for a long-range rocket launch.

North Korea possesses an array of missiles. U.S. and South Korean officials do not believe the North’s claim that it has developed nuclear warheads small enough to place on a missile. Last week in Washington, South Korean President Park Geun-hye and President Barack Obama warned North Korea against further nuclear provocations.

Tension between the two Koreas remains high after both sides pulled out their workers from a jointly run factory complex earlier this year. The countries remain technically at war after the 1950-53 Korean War ended in a truce instead of a peace treaty.

Apparently not everyone is excited to watch hip hop artists that have passed away, reappear before their very eyes on the “Rock The Bells” stage this summer. As a matter of fact, one very important person has shown an honorable objection to the idea. But not for the reasons you may think.

Icelene Jones, the widow of the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard, has filed a Cease and Desist letter, and has let it be known that she did not give permission for her late husband’s image to be turned into a hologram. She is very upset that no one even bothered to speak to her about it, let alone acquire her permission.

Said Jones,

“I am disappointed that Rock the Bells would not contact me directly about the use of my husband’s image. I’m the administrator [of his estate] and the only authority to give anyone permission to do anything like this. They need to come to me. I’m so available. I’m accessible. I’m easy to contact. I just want to make that understood. I’m a nice person. It’s just that people are doing things without my knowledge.”

According to Fuse,  ODB’s mother, Cherry Jones, was at the press conference this week when they announced the hologram would be happening at “Rock The Bells” and the RTB organizer/Guerilla Union head Chang Weisberg told Fuse that RZA would be the one who would be directing OBD’s virtual performance.

We’re not clear if this hologram plan will be going through or not, but we will definitely keep the story updated because this is obviously a once in a life time thing. Unless of course, you get to come back at a later date as a hologram and see it in the future. We’re just sayin!

According to Radar Online, Beyonce has  responded to reports that she and husband Jay-Z are about to make Blue Ivy a big sister! Last night she took to her Instagram to let it be known exactly how she felt.

Says Bey,

“I can’t stop the rumors from starting, and I can’t really change peoples minds who believe them, all I can do is sit back and laugh at these low life people who have nothing better to do than talk about me,”

Radar Online is reporting that the IG pic has since been removed.

This is what came as a result of  the world erupting with commentary yesterday after E! News began reporting definitively that Bey was pregnant, and after her friend,  Russell Simmons  tweeted a congratulations to the Beyonce and Jay-Z.

Well, whether it was true or not, everyone wanted to be the very first to break the story, and we guess what happened in the end was, that people hurt the very person they wanted to be happy for. Not good.

Ludacris surprised his girlfriend, Eudoxie’s for her birthday in Atlanta.  After they attended the premiere of Fast & Furious 6, he blindfolded her and escorted her into a restaurant that he had rented out and filled with balloons.  The couple celebrated Eudoxie’s birthday with close friends like  Monica & Shannon Brown, LeToya Luckett, Monyetta Shaw and more.

Then Beyonce’s Graphic Designer, Matthew, RT’d a fan last night who said, “Bey definitely isn’t pregnant. She is posting videos and pictures and sh*t. Kween is UNBOTHERED.”

Then he deleted the RT 15 minutes after, but by then everyone saw it.

E! Online, who originally confirmed the news via multiple sources, is sticking by their story. They also said late last night that a source told them her pregnancy should not affect her North American tour dates.

And Jay’s friends like Russell Simmons and the company he partly owns, Carol’s Daughter, have all tweeted an official Congratulations.

Time will tell.
