Nick Cannon, 31 years old, was admitted to the hospital last week for having two blood clots in lungs, and earlier this month for mild kidney failure, as a result had to undergo surgery! Cannon says in a statement, “Under doctor’s orders, I have been asked to make my health first and cut back on some of my professional commitments. It has been an absolute pleasure working with CBS Radio and the 92.3 NOW morning show team and I would like to thank them for their unwavering support.”
The multi talented Cannon, who is married to the pop superstar Mariah Carey has been hosting a daily show on 92.3 FM (WXRK) from 6 to 10 in the morning since January 2010. However he will be leaving the New York station due to his health related issues. On a positive note for you Cannon fans, he will still be hosting his syndicated weekend show “Cannon’s countdown” as well as still hosting NBC’s “America’s Got Talent”, which is moving to New York to help better accommodate new judge Howard Stern.
