Nia Long and Taraji P. Henson did NOT get along on the set of Empire.
Insiders tell E! News,
“Tensions calmed between them towards the end of the season, but it comes down to the fact that they both have been in the industry for so long and both want to be the star.”
“Unfortunately for Nia, Taraji is the star of Empire and no one and nothing will ever change that. Nia came with her own ideas, and they weren’t having it.”
Meanwhile others tell Page Six
…she held up shooting on 2013’s The Best Man Holiday” because “she insisted her character wear white when the director wanted everyone in black” for a funeral scene.
“She threw a huge fit and held up production for nearly an hour because she refused to wear black . . . She argued, ‘My character wouldn’t be wearing black to a funeral! She would wear white!’ They eventually gave in because they felt like it was a frivolous battle.”
