Four-time Defensive Player of the Year, Ben Wallace was joined by his coach, Larry Brown Saturday at The Palace of Auburn Hills as his No. 3 jersey retired by the Detroit Pistons. Wallace was joined by his wife, children and teammates from the 2004 NBA title team on the court for a ceremony at halftime game where the Pistons defeated the Golden State Warriors 113-95. “Where I came from and some of the trial and tribulations I went through, I wouldn’t change it for the world.” Looking to his Family he went on to say, “Y’all motivated me on nights when I didn’t have anything left.”

One of the top defensive players in NBA history, Ben is the eighth player to have his jersey retired by the Pistons franchise. Former teammate Chauncey Billups’ jersey will be retired later this season.
