We’re not going to lie. We were actually rooting for Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom to make their marriage work. Yet after Kardashian filed for divorce in 2013 and has dated off and currently on rapper French Montana, it looked to be a wrap. Yesterday however, Radar Online confirmed that the seemingly ongoing divorce case was close to being dismissed because neither has completed the necessary paperwork to be officially disunited.

For awhile, Kardashian tried to get the proceedings going, but as her family reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians showed, at times she could barely get a hold of Odom for a reasonable conversation, let alone get his pen to the paper and finalize the divorce. This past October, L.A. Judge Scott Gordon alerted Khloe that the divorce was up to dismissal because of a lack of further action since her filing. Legally, she’s still listed as Khloe Kardashian Odom (but on all social media and media outings, has had the “Odom” removed).
There is hope for Khloe to receive the clean start she’s been looking for as her lawyer Laura Wasser could grant her a “motion” which would still allow for a divorce to happen. In “divorce court“, a motion allocates a party a right to for their case to be seen in front of a judge and potentially issued.
Last year, there were rumors of a reconciliation between Kardashian and Odom, but they were just that as no union has come to fruition. Occasionally on her Instagram, her followers have noticed that she still sometimes posts sentimental or longing quotes that suggest she’s moved on but still wonders what could have been or what was.
