The 2015 Academy Awards are finally through and a full winner’s list is here.

Selma won a single award through Common and John Legend picking up the Best Original Song Oscar for “Glory” but lost in the Best Picture category to Birdman.

The month-long lead-up to the annual Oscar ceremony has brought damning criticism for the award show’s lack of diversity, perhaps most popularly in the form of the nonstop (and often sadly hilarious) hashtag campaign #OscarsSoWhite. Specifically at issue this year was the very noticeable snub of Selma director Ava DuVernay in the Best Director category.

Host Neil Patrick Harris acknowledged the issue in the first minute of the ceremony, joking, “Tonight we honor Hollywood’s best and whitest—I mean, brightest!”
