Lawmakers from across the Commonwealth of Virginia introduced, killed and passed hundreds of pieces of legislation during the 2014 General Assembly Session.

As a result, Governor Terrence R. McAuliffe has signed hundreds of changes to Virginia’s laws that will go into effect on Tuesday, July 1, 2014. Changes to Virginia’s new laws include mental reform, social services, human trafficking, housing, elections, education, criminal offenses, local government and utilities, to name a few.
