Actor James Avery, 68, most known for his patriarch role on “The French Prince of Bel-Air” died from complications while under open heart surgery. Avery had become very ill and underwent “surgery for an undisclosed illness and took a turn for the worse late yesterday,” reports TMZ.
According to reports, Barbra, his wife, had left his bedside for a short time and was informed of his passing when she returned. “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” co-star Alfonso Ribiero tweeted, “I’m deeply saddened to say that James Avery has passed away. He was a second father to me. I will miss him greatly.”
