After a breakthrough year of music buzz, a stunning debut album and a few infectious chart-topping singles along the way, 23-year-old R&B/soul singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Elle Varner has gained not only a strong fan base, but also notable exposure on the scene with her newly announced nominations at the 44th Annual NAACP Image Awards.

The songbird is poised to take home one of three possible trophies in the categories for Outstanding Album, Outstanding New Artist and Outstanding Female Artist. Check out who she’s up against in each respective category.
